And I Wait…

I sit detached in a static space

My soul cries out in impatient state.

And I wait…

The existence of humankind is evident but mine is severed.

The sting feels as if it lasts forever.

But I wait…

My mind is indignant that my zealous is bound.

My power is lost, but my endurance is sound.

So I wait…

I loaf irritated of things I need, but can only desire.

Grasping for the heavens from the worlds purging fire.

And I wait…

In torture I stay, waiting still.

Till the burning inside makes me ill.

I fall down to the ground and look up to the sky.

And I wait … for my turn to die.
