Rest In Anguish

Here lies my pain, death’s eternal flame

The flicker of my life, the carrier of my strife

The bearer of my guilt, causing my soul to wilt

A chest of words unspoken, In which I loaf, broken

Afraid of all the world, and seeing it’s dark turned back

Here lies a willful spirit turning black

A tear is my external bleeding

Igniting red with anger and seething

Slipping into the ever persuasive abyss

Surrendering under death’s sweet kiss

Here lies myself beating only by the whisper of a dying wish

The prayer of salvation from

Rest in anguish…
